ACCLIMATIZATION DAY IN DINGBOCHE
Rise High - Sleep Low
Yoga and breathing practice open our day, filling it with calm. Today is dedicated to acclimatization, an important part of preparation for further ascent. According to mountaineering wisdom – “Climb high, sleep low.” Each ascent to altitude helps the body better adapt to the thin air, making sleep below more comfortable and healthy. This process significantly facilitates overcoming the altitude and reduces the risk of altitude sickness.
We will walk through the picturesque village of Dingboche, enjoying the warm smiles and hospitality of the locals. As we climb higher, we will see how the landscape gradually changes. Green meadows give way to harsh rocks and rocky mountains. The views of the surrounding peaks, such as Ama Dablam and Lhotse, create a breathtaking panorama. Here, all living things end: further only the harsh beauty of the mountains and glaciers, filling you with a feeling of solitude and unity with nature. Gorakshep itself is an amazing place.
