The endless expanses of the Himalayas

In the Himalayan heights, where the air is thin and the sky is deep, like the gaze of Buddha, our ascent to Lobuche begins. Paths carved into the rocks by time will become our steps to the heights of consciousness.

TOUR DESCRIPTION

Lobuche Peak Base Camp

Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla, the gateway to Everest, will greet us with a tiny runway. It was here, in 1953, that Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and New Zealander Edmund Hillary first began their conquest of the world’s summit, opening a new era in the history of mountaineering.

We will move to Phakding, a village hidden among the mountains through the Sagarmatha National Park. In the park, under the shade of centuries-old pine trees, you can hear the whisper of the wind, telling legends about the Yeti, the mysterious snow man who lives in these parts.

Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa capital where prayer flags flutter in the wind, is our next stop. Here, in the heart of the Himalayas, is the highest monastery in the world, where monks guard ancient manuscripts and relics like keys to the secrets of the universe. Next we head to Deboche, where the Thyangboche monastery holds ancient knowledge. It is said to be home to the spirit of the great teacher Padmasambhava, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism, who left his mark on the rock.

6119 meters above sea level

Dingboche will be our starting point for climbing Nangkartshang (5083m), which offers breathtaking views of Everest in all its glory.

For those who are heading to the mountains for the first time, our experienced guides will conduct a master class on the basics of mountaineering. You will learn how to tie knots, use safety equipment and master other necessary skills for a safe ascent.

If you are already an experienced climber, you will be able to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers, as well as hone your rock and ice climbing skills on the nearby cliffs and icy slopes.

The ascent to Lobuche is the culmination of our journey. From the summit, 6,119 meters above sea level, a view of the vast expanses of the Himalayas opens up. This will be the moment of truth, when we will be able to see the world from a new height.

After the descent we will return to Lukla, where our journey will end. But the memories of the Himalayas will remain with us forever.

Acclimatization day in Dingboche

Breath of the mountains and panoramas of the Himalayas

Yoga and breathing practice open our day, filling it with calm. Today is dedicated to acclimatization, an important part of preparation for further ascent. According to mountaineering wisdom – “Climb high, sleep low.” Each ascent to altitude helps the body better adapt to the thin air, making sleep below more comfortable and healthy. This process significantly facilitates overcoming the altitude and reduces the risk of altitude sickness.

We will walk through the picturesque village of Dingboche, enjoying the warm smiles and hospitality of the locals. As we climb higher, we will see how the landscape gradually changes. Green meadows give way to harsh rocks and rocky mountains. The views of the surrounding peaks, such as Ama Dablam and Lhotse, create a breathtaking panorama. The grandeur and beauty of these mountain ranges enhance the feeling of unity with nature.
